Portrait of Howard Miller

Howard Miller

Mixed media/conceptual

Howard, a retired architect, is a Conceptual artist. He was the Winner in a 1992 national art competition. His shows have included New York's Art 54 Gallery as part of the "Art Horizons" grand exhibition (1992), Artists' Gallery (1993, with Gill Mayer), and the Jewish Community Alliance (1994, with Margo Buccini). He was a member of the Jacksonville Art Coalition, with shows at Sawgrass Gallery in Ponte Vedra from 1991–1994.

Critic Ted Weeks wrote of his work: "Miller's fanciful whimsy flourishes in the asymmetrical Mondrian's Apple, a pictorial tweaking of eternal temptation." Alice Garland called it "a mixed media shaped canvas with deep reds, blues, oranges and purples. It is a showstopper."
