Gala
Once a year, the Art Guild of Orange Park throws a party that's impossible to describe to anyone who wasn't there. We'll just say: wear something you love, come hungry, and bring your bidding arm. Every ticket and every bid supports the Guild's programs and the Courtenay Hunt Scholarship, awarded each year to a local high school senior heading off to study art.
This October, we're going down the rabbit hole for the Mad Hatter's Chair-i-ty Gala. Expect a tea party gone gloriously sideways: live music, dancing, and a table worth losing your head over. This year's centerpiece is the live auction. Guild members have turned ordinary chairs into one-of-a-kind art, with proceeds going straight back to the Guild, and the wildest ones get fought over live.
Every Gala gets a new theme, picked fresh by the board each year. Past themes include Enchanted Masquerade, Art Gone Wild: Art Safari, Puttin' on the Glitz: 50th Anniversary, and an Italian evening of art under the stars.
So dust off the top hat, the wildest bow tie you own, or a pocket watch that's always running late. Getting dressed up is half the fun, and we can't wait to see what you show up in.

Art Gone Wild: A Night of Safari-Themed Art Under the Stars

Over 300 guests enjoyed an Italian theme, with music by The Mix, Clay County Swing Band, Brooks Clarke, and vocalist Sarah Sawyer, food by Anthony's Gourmet Catering, art demonstrations, a silent auction, and a wine tasting. Members decorated flower carts, tinker carts, and a gondola throughout the grounds.
