Alison is a professional artist. Having majored in Art in college she began her career with a focus on ceramics. For a time she owned a studio and gallery in Summerville, SC, where she taught wheel classes and produced functional and sculptural clay works.
In the early 2000's Alison began painting and that soon became her main focus. Most of Alison's paintings are in oil, painted in the studio using her own photos but she also enjoys painting outside in plein air on occasion. Her subjects range from landscapes and still life to figurative works. Alison has won many awards for her clay work and paintings, and is happy to accept commissions.
